ABOUT

The Online Routes Incubator is an annual program, developed by the AEPJ together with its Scientific Committee, which offers in a dynamic and transversal way, training and on going assitance to the teams that develop Jewish heritage routes in Europe, through workshops, conferences and individual mentoring sessions. A meeting point for learning, reflection and exploration of transnational collaborations.

The 2021 edition

The year 2020 has been a really challenging and complicated year for the teams that develop Jewish heritage routes, but all have shown a great resilience and adaptability. The vision of the project as a whole is the same, but it is time to analyze and develop new strategies. Therefore, the program of this Incubator will try to address the most relevant points, as well as opportunities and strategies to seek joint solutions in a challenging scenario.

At the AEPJ we firmly believe that perhaps individually we can go faster,

but together we will go further!

The 10 (other) Commandments- for the Care of Jewish Heritage

The session will center around Sally Berkovic's article "The 10 (other) Commandments- for the Care of Jewish Heritage" in comparison to a series of seven priority recommendations for Jewish heritage strategy that were drawn up at a meeting of experts that followed a major conference on Jewish heritage in Paris in 1999. These two sets of recommendations, two decades apart but similar in many respects despite all that has gone on in the interim, provide a framework to look back at what has happened, assess the current situation, and look ahead.

With Helise Lieberman, Director, Taube Center

Ruth Ellen Gruber, Executive Director, Jewish Heritage Europe

Victor Sorenssen, director, AEPJ

Jeremy Leigh, AEPJ Scientific Committee

Sally Berkovic, CEO of the Rothschild Foundation Hanadiv Europe
